The Level Four ‘Learn to Swim Program’ is delivered by the Olympic Village Swimming Pool. The Aus-Swim qualified instructors teach our students the importance of swimming, water awareness and lifesaving skills. Furthermore, the ‘Learn to Swim Program’ caters for East Preston Islamic College’s cultural requirements and levels of experience.
The Bosch company in Clayton is willing to come to our school and give us their presentation on “Introduction to STEM subjects” in addition to opening out to our senior students about the prospects of Engineering careers. I informed Bosch that the presentation will be for our Year 9 to Year 12 students (about 160 students) and to this to take place in the Gym. I have spoken to Grace, Sonya and Gomes in regard to this and got their consent. When I discussed with Bosch about the date and timing, they have given me the date as Friday, 1st of March, 2019; from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Aloy Fernando
Year 7 (2 injections) Year 10 students will also be receiving the Meningococcal ACWY Vaccine. Influenza (Flu) vaccine and the Diphtheria, Tetanus, Whooping Cough (Boostrix) vaccine will be available to the staff at the first visit.
